Kim trained as a Cecchetti ballet dancer and worked with several UK ballet companies and celebrity dancers such as Fonteyn and Nureyev. Mendez performed in West End Shows, films and tv shows and trained as a Cecchetti teacher later on to work with Royal Opera and Royal Ballet for over 30 years. Currently teaching ballet at Pineapple Dance Studios.
Kim's classes are aimed at helping the teach the dancer through the Cecchetti Method of training and to enhance posture, positioning, and individual correction and to enhance the joy of dance through ballet and the Cecchetti Method.
