Alexandra Chaves is back in London this July! 'The Next Step' cast member Alexandra Chaves (Piper) is coming to Pineapple Dance Studios again with a series of The Next Step Choreography Workshops on Tuesday 30th and Wednesday 31st July 2024!
Meet, learn and dance with one of our favourite TNS stars. In this special workshop you will learn original TNS choreography from real-life cast member Alexandra Chaves a.k.a Piper! You will have the chance to ask questions and take photos with Alexandra, as well as receive a TNS certificate of achievement addressed to you personally signed by Alexandra to mark this once in a lifetime event!
Alexandra's classes on Tuesday will aim at 7-12 year olds, and her Wednesday classes will aim at kids 13 years and above. This will allow everyone to take part in this unique opportunity to dance with a TNS cast member feeling confident and experience this special day at its fullest!
Each workshop will consist of a warm up, learning choreography, Q&A with Alexandra, certificates, performance & photos! All dancers will receive a 20% OFF discount in our Pineapple Store, available on all full-priced items and a FREE goodie bag or water bottle.
Tuesday Choreography (7 - 12yrs): ‘Fire’ (Lyrical/Jazz)
Both levels (beginner and advanced) will be learning variations of Piper’s ‘Fire’ Solo from Season 4. This song embodies Piper’s journey throughout TNS; all the ups and downs and strength built along the way! The advanced class will learn the choreography at a faster pace and with advanced technique.
For both beginner and advanced, there will be options given so that the choreography can be accessible to all abilities. We will approach this class in typical TNS style, with freestyle, learning choreography and finding your iconic A-Troupe pose. As well as explore storytelling with this song, a key component to becoming an A-Troupe Member!
Wednesday Choreography (+13yrs): 'Stand Up' (Jazz/Hip Hop Fusion)
During the classes students will learn the iconic choreography from Season 5 and 2019 TNS Tour to ‘Stand Up’.
"This dance is the heart and soul of The next Step and will forever be ingrained in my body after the years of dancing to this song. It never gets old!" says Alexandra. For both beginner and advanced, there will be options given so that the choreography can be accessible to all levels. The advanced class can expect to learn this combination at full speed, with a focus on precise counts and musicality.
The classes' structure will reflect the iconic TNS dance structure, with a moment to let your uniqueness shine through freestyle, group choreography and a strong ending pose! Leave feeling ready to take on Nationals!
WHAT TO BRING
